C-Murder & Lil Boosie-Came2DaCan

  @ First I was like "Came2DaCan"? This is going to be some cut-n-paste 
song, but to my surprise, No, and actually this is produced by Craig B who
was 1/4 of the production team of Beats By The Pound. I also did not know
that Lil Boosie and C-Murder where locked up together in La State prison.
 Ah ha, "Came2DaCan" I get it now. The subject matter touches on how
friends and even family (in C-Murders Case) turn they're back on you
when you doing deep time in the pen.

I think if not hearing NEW VERSES from a recently freed Boosie
and a once again Incarcerated  C-Murder is not enough to check out this
track. Then how about the perfect production from Craig B or the fact
that......

C-MURDER FINALLY DISSES MASTER-P. 

YES! You read that correctly, He finally turns on his own brother after years
of bickering (They recorded "TRU-Da Crime Family" in seperate studios
because of the tension between Master-P and C-Murder) and the subliminal
back and forth stuff.

JeffParish Presents....Volume 1. Mixtape Snippets.

 Me and DJ Pyra-C are putting the finishing touches on the first Volune in a series of mixtapes.

This one is Called Big Boy Records Bounced Out and Re-vamped and is going to be

Nothing but Bounce Remixes and Original Remixes made by me. It's really going to have

that New Orleans feel to it.

This one is going to Include the Explicit Vocals of Mystikal's "Back from Tha River"

as you never herd them before.

Along for the ride is the Entire Big Boy Records Roster and a few surprises here and

there just  for ya'll.

 The Production was handled entirely by me.

The mastering, scratching and flow on the mix-tape was

generated solely by DJ Pyra-C. Ya'll go check some of his

work out. He has projects hosted by a number of

Big Boy Artist and Exclusive Remixes by

the super underrated Big Boy Records producer

David "D-Funk" Faulk. For ya'll that are sleeping

and don't know who that is, He was the man in

the shadows that DJ Precise took all the credit

for. The Sound of Big Boy Records can be

contributed to David Faulk alone.

Be on the Look out for Volume 1. to drop @ the end of

the month/Early Next Month.

13 Second 13 Year's ORIGINAL World Premiere Clip

As you all know by now, and reading my Blog,
Mystikal was really a lazy writier in his
earlier years. Sometimes he was a victim
of Circumstances, sometimes he was not.

Let's look @ his track record:

1."Back from the River":Originally recorded
as a response track to retaliate to U.N.L.V.
and CMR for the years of dissing on him
and Big Boy Records.He made this after his first
local self titled release and while working
on his local follow up to it, titled 13 years.
Just before he and BBR got their deal with Jive.
"The Man Right Chea" dropped on No Limit a year
or two later and he Used a good portion of the
Original Lyrics from BFTR on it.

2."I Ain't Playin'" Originally recorded with the
help of David "D-Funk" Faulk for the just about
defunct Big Boy Record's comp. titled "We G'z".
"I Ain't Playin'" was Re-Recorded and released
once more on the NO LIMIT Comp. "We Can't Be Stopped". Using Once again a very large portion
of the Orignal as it's backbone.

3."U Can't Handle This" was recorded as his
Single off his Second Local album that he
was working on while Jive was going threw
the motions on the BBR Deal.This was actually
played on the Radio a couple of times. It was
going to be released in duel fashion on the
"Dangerous Grounds" soundtrack to the Ice Cube
movie AND as his album single.
Jive kicked in and cut it off both and had him
drop Precise/Faulk and link up with the legendary
traxxxster for "Mr.Shit Talker". Song was never
herd from again Until...
"You Can't Handle This" was re-recorded with
the No Limit In house producers and released
on his "Unpredictable" album.

4."13 Years" was recorded in the same sessions
as "U Can't Handle This" and "Back From The River"
along with a handfull of others on what would
have been an amazing Big Boy Records album and
a true follow up to "Mystikal". But with BBR going
under and Jive wanting to stray away with anything to do with the Big Boy company
"Mind of Mystikal" did not include it on it's tracklist. And It never saw the light of day Until...
"13 Years" was again Re-Recorded for his No Limit
album "Unpredictable".This is one of the few
songs he re-did that actually stays true to
basically every word from the original except
for the No Limt refrences on the latter one.

So I think we can all conclude that "Unpredictable"
followed the bluprint of what would have been
the "13 Years" album that would have dropped
on Jive and would have had a HEAVY influence
from BBR artist and producers.

So where does that leave us now?

Let's just say threw the help of alot
of people that Most, if not All, of the
Original Big Boy Records Mystikal "13 Years"
material has been found.

The tracks that I listed above do not
represent the Entire body of work that
was made for that project. These are the
one's I'm only willing to talk about
and mention at this time.

Look out for the entire review and
release in the future. You never know
I just might leak something from it on
the mixtapes coming up I got with DJ Pyra-C.

Gotta Love the Bill Withers "Use Me Up" Sample in L.O.G.'s
track, But, When it comes to creativity Dee1 wins this hands down.

Mystikal-Back from the River (Dirty CDQ) Trade

To answer the ton of Emails,Blogger,forum, Youtube comments on why I havent leaked the
the dirty version or the 3 track promo single
that includes the Instrumental and Radio version Is...

I am..or was in talks with a dude that has the ORIGINAL version of
"U Can't Handle This" that was recorded for his first single off his
second local album entitled "13 Years". I have been offered money
and whatnot BUT I really want a good rip of that song. I have it
on CD but its scratched and wont rip at all.

The Entire album was scrapped when JIVE picked him up and the
only person with the masters are Precise and David Faulk.
Other tracks that where recorded for this Unreleased 2nd Big Boy album
include the Original versions of "13 Year's", "I Ain't Playing" and a Intro, Outro
and 2 unamed tracks. which I have.
Once I get this I will release what will be the "13 Years" EP to the masses.
Tagged Free for once.

So If any one has a decent rip of "U Can't Handle This" 1995 Original Big Boy
version or any of the UNRELEASED formentioned tracks in good quality.
I will Gladly trade the promo single in return for it.

Tre-8 and Dem Haze Boyz+Some Musical History

One of the last New projects you will ever hear from Tre-8.
R.I.P.
What really catches my ear on this Compilation is the flipped
Neil Young "Southern Man" sample. Track 2.
Some History for that ass.......
Few really know that BEEFING on wax actually originated
in the Classic Rock world in the 70's over that very song.
Neil being from canada, made that song about what he thought
a typical southern man's life is like.
Then Lynyrd Skynyrd, yes I am typing this correctly,
Lynyrd Skynyrd fired the first shot ever documented in recording
history at Neil Young on the song "Sweet Home Alabama".
So the dirty south started this form of audio retaliation.
Now That's Beef....Lol.
Just one to grow on.

R.I.P. Tim Smooth

Rapper Tim Smooth died at age 39, early this morning, after a long battle with cancer.
Born Timothy Smoot – and known as “the Knight from Kennedy Heights” - the rapper was considered a pioneer of New Orleans hip-hop. He established his reputation as an MC while still a teenager; in an interview last year, he recalled sneaking out of L.W. Higgins High School in Marrero at lunchtime to battle other rappers on their school’s playgrounds. In 1991, he released his first single, “I Gotsta Have It,” for Dallas-based Yo! Records, and label-hopped after that, putting out albums on Houston’s Rap-A-Lot label and the local indies Big Boy and Mobo.
At Big Boy Records, he met and mentored Mystikal. During a respite from his illness, Smooth made an appearance on the mic with his old friend during a House of Blues concert last December.
"Had I never met Tim, I would be a totally different artist," Michael "Mystikal" Tyler told Times-Picayune music writer Keith Spera today.
"He even co-wrote the title cut with me on 'Mind of Mystikal.' Thanks for the memories."
News of the rapper’s death spread rapidly today via blog and social-networking sites. The newly-formed hip-hop collective New Orleans Union for Entertainment posted a tribute on their web page. DJ EF Cuttin, a longtime friend of Smoot’s, wrote a heartfelt obituary on his site.
“I hope they remember how he was – he was a friend to everybody, everybody loved him,” said his sister, Nicole Smoot.
“He never had a fight in his whole life, and he was 39 years old. He was a happy person. He was always cracking jokes, and even with the cancer, he never didn’t have a smile on his face.”
Funeral arrangements for Smoot are pending.

I figured since everyone has spread the TAPE rip around like a S.T.D., I would do the same
